Instructions for Authors

Thank you for contributing to the Mecatronics-REM conference. Please follow the instructions below to ensure your presentation runs smoothly and remains accessible to a diverse expert audience.

Before your session:

  • Arrive in the session room 5–10 minutes early to upload your presentation onto the session laptop (recommended for reliability and seamless transitions).
  • You may use your own laptop, but please note that this is at your own risk (adapters, cables, and display compatibility cannot be guaranteed).
  • Presentations should be provided preferably in PDF format to avoid layout or font issues.

Presentation timing:

  • 15 minutes for the presentation.
  • 5 minutes for questions and discussion.

Your talk should clearly present: (i) the state of the art and necessary background (accessible to experts from different subfields), (ii) your innovative approach, (iii) key results, and (iv) a comparative evaluation positioning your contribution within existing literature.

Slides should remain readable from the back of the room—using large fonts (around 20 pt or more) and avoiding dense text is strongly recommended.

All rooms provide a laptop and projector. If using the session's laptop, kindly bring your file on a USB key and keep a cloud/emailed backup.

All accepted papers are expected to be presented. If the primary author or co-authors are unable to attend due to exceptional circumstances, a substitute presenter should be arranged. Each paper must be supported by a full author registration (member or non-member) by one of its authors.

ANY PAPER NOT PRESENTED AT THE CONFERENCE WILL NOT BE INCLUDED IN THE OFFICIAL PROCEEDINGS SUBMITTED TO IEEE XPLORE.
